User data includes your collections, tags, metadata and thumbnails. While version numbering can be quite arbitrary, I have arrived at a spot where I am quite happy with where COMPASS is at and ready to remove the beta/pre-release label from it. This does not mean development on COMPASS is complete, there is plenty more to come and there might still be bugs but if you wait for development to be complete to leave beta, you will be in beta forever (looking at you GOG galaxy 2.0) so I decided to take the plunge and call it 1.0.
